Mr Edward Ache

was in need of a new living space.

The houses he rented previously drove him out as they were either too airy in one instance or too flooded in another. An information board pointed him in the direction of a small flat to let which seemed quite perfect for him. The windows were all tightly shut creating a stagnant atmosphere. The last tenants had left it quite dusty too, which suited him well because he never liked things to be too clean (this is so he blended in). And the local weather was drier than your great uncle’s humor. But he had no phone to call on the landlord or lady (I can’t be sure of the gender) and inquire upon the premises.

Mr Edward Ache was used to moving into a new building and so, he used his sly eyes to spot the key hidden under a purple-colored, ceramic chameleon sitting on the grass. He figured he might as well move in and use the phone indoors to inform his land-person of his presence.

The landowner was, of course, rather aghast to find the building occupied and didn’t have the sense to accept or decline Mr Edward Ache’s offer. And so, Mr Edward Ache thought it quite safe to assume that he was welcome.

However, a few days later he spotted his landowner walking by on the street, dressed for wet and windy weather.
I had a headache - so I wrote it away.

It took a while before I figured out that Edward Ache is a headache that moves in whether the owner of the head wants it or not.
Kinda humourous to think about.
